On November 5, 2022, after being invited by his buddy Eli, Josh attended the annual Harvest Fest at the Renison home, where he had walked up the driveway and met Dahlia for the very first time. After a few charming interactions throughout the evening, Josh left without saying goodbye which left Dahlia confused wondering if he was interested in her.


That evening Dahlia checked Instagram Direct Messages and Joshua Bolding was at the very top. Josh had messaged to thank for a wonderful evening and went on to leave his phone number in hopes they would soon meet again. Two weeks later they hung out for the very first time in celebration of Joshs 25th birthday, beginning with dinner at Leatherbys and concluding in a minor vehicle collision with Dahlia behind the wheel.


They connected not only with their love for God and burden for missions, but also in many of their personal interests which include things such as horseback riding, golf, and collecting animals of all sizes just to name a few. They quickly became the best of friends and fell in love.


By December 31, 2022 (New Years Eve), Josh had asked Dahlia to be his girlfriend and of course she said YES!


As their relationship progressed, Dahlias Pastor suggested they wait one WHOLE year before they get engaged. After waiting and planning, on May 11th, 2024 Joshua asked Dahlia for her hand in marriage! It was one of the most incredible days filled with surprise after surprise! Distant family joined to celebrate and incredible memories were made. The road to this point has been more than they could have ever dreamed of. We all look forward to the countless blessings to come and want to say thank you for all of the love, support, and prayers from friends and family that have made their relationship what it is today.
